Photography on the front page of the paper of record depicted the conflict in rosy, gorgeous, cinematic ways, like the first scene in Apocalypse Now.

Isn’t the first scene the one where Martin Sheen is playing drunken kung-fu with a mirror in his Saigon hotel room?

You know how you call yourself “the paper of record?” That’s because the things you write are a matter of public record. There are newspapers that are private. They’re called newsletters. Your subscription numbers are kind of headed in that direction, but you’re not there yet.
