I’m certain that Norton makes sure that the e-coin goes to the company that owns the machines, and not the IT person who switched it on for a bunch of machines.

I imagine theres not much overlap between ‘people tech-savvy enough to know much about mining’ and ‘people who’d use Norton on their PC’

Norton still a thing?
I started with Norton Utilities for DOS followed by Systemworks but haven’t used Norton antivirus since Window 98.
There are so many free alternatives that are far less system hogs but I guess once it’s pre installed people will just go with what they have and go with their subscription.
Lately it’s just Windows and Malwarebytes.
Some day I’ll figure out the whole crypto thing but right now it makes very little sense to me and something that is just a hairs width away from crashing.
