Just look at it!
You call Verizon. A Google bot answers. You demand a human. The human is told what to say by the bot
Prison warden Harri Rämö told Yle that the error occurred when the now-fugitive presented himself to prison officials and pretended to be another prisoner who was due to be released.
oldest trick in the book
Google employs people to invent colours – and they think their work improves your wellbeing
Google has revealed it employs people to invent colours and give them silly names, too.
What’s next, a mild electric shock if the human disobeys the system? I’ve tried complaining about the information I didn’t ask for repeatedly offered while on hold (they are supposedly recording what you say at that point). They still waste a lot of time trying to guess the reason for the call.
The only reason I contact Verizon customer support by phone is because the Internet service is out. The number one message they play while people are on hold is that they should solve their problems by using the Verizon web site. To which I reply, “If I could access the Internet, I would not be calling you - stop saying that!”
Subscribers with trickier problems should also, we hope, be directed to a human being without having to negotiate their way through a menu or a script of irrelevant procedures.

“I can still smell those damn herrings.”
This turned up in my internetz. “Reference” 240v power cables, $400AUD a metre.
I have so many problems with this. I mean, how can I trust it when:
- It contains no iridium
- It contains no unobtainium
- It contains no midichlorians
What a bunch of pseudo-pseudoscience.

Mecha-Flipper!
For some reason, this post (and @noahdjango’s) remind me of this song…
Eagle bites the weasel
Weasel bites back
They fly up to nowhere
Weasel keeps hangin’ on
Together, forever
I love that song… pretty much anything by Laurie Anderson… Peter Gabriel is a nice bonus!
The album So was played nonstop during my college years. I still love it!
