I just dropped by this thread to see if anyone had posted this already.

I’ve found most of Tommy Wiseau’s output post-The Room to be pretty insufferable. So-bad-it’s-good usually only works when the creator actually thinks they’re making something good. But this one leans into being bad so aggressively that it somehow wraps back around to be funny again.

I still couldn’t sit through the whole thing…

This really grinds my gears. Free electron lasers were invented by a brilliant colleague of mine who was strenuously opposed to their use in weaponry. A fight over control of his work is why he moved to my campus. Of course, as soon as he died these things are popping up in all kinds of military uses.
