It is.
My only experience of Hull is driving through it to get to the ferry in the 80s and 90’s - obviously not the best way to get the best impression of any city.
I happily admit that everyone I know who has spent any time actually living there tells me much the same as you. They all speak very positively of the place.

The homeowners blame Katz’s neighbour, a woman who they claim is excessively feeding wildlife. Katz said she has seen the neighbour give bags of dog food and even a roasted chicken to the vultures.

Wait… Paris? I mean if it was somewhere like say Missouri I wouldn’t think twice about it. But Paris?
(He was apparently fishing on a stretch of shore where I have been taking dogs to swim for over 20 years. I knew there were sharks further out – Bodega Bay is the tip of the so-called “red triangle” – but had I known they came in close to that stretch I might have found alternate exercise for them.)
