Heh. I already had a pre-negociated price through Bay Area Checkbook, so their tricks were largely wasted on me. What they were trying to do at the time was to get me to agree to the standard recision clause (that lets them and only them break the contract at their own discretion) even though I was paying cash. I Xed it out of the contract.

I thought perhaps there was data collection going on that measures what number range tends to prompt punters to buy, but that’s probably too clever for this lot.
