Post your Pet or animal Pics (Part 3)

Getting it in while I still can. Where I’m gonna share pet photos with fellow animal lovers in a few days?

Sitting outside around the campground for our second from last bonfire, look up and see this guy snoozing.

Bookmarking in browser…that’s the solution for finding a thread right now, isn’t it? The list of threads will keep growing, finding anything will become increasingly difficult, and there’s no functionality right now to bookmark threads within SuSchat.

On the other hand, SuSchat looks like it will be so good at discouraging interaction that finding a thread in hopes of new activity might quickly become pointless.

I’m going to miss you, people of the BBS. And your cats.

Maybe they’re hoping it’s made out of brewed catnip

I’m extremely bummed about the move, and having a shite day, but this little lady is purring on my feet, so there is hope.

Sleeping on the litter box?

I know how you feel little buddy.

Update: the buck is feeling better, eating, drinking, and using his usual litter boxes (blue has kitty litter under the grate, the hay feeder / litter box has wheat chaff pellets). Not back 100%, but we’re not worried about him making it through the day anymore. He’s been shaking his head and scratching his ears more than normal, so I’ll be making a vet appointment to check if he has an ear infection.

I wonder if anyone would be interested in taking some of these long running topics over to a robust discussion forum.

Heck, if there were some interest I have a decent amount of server space on a reseller account I play with. Maybe I’ll look into some open source discussion forums just for some of these topics.

If there’s interest.

I looked at a small discourse plan but the cheapest is 20 bucks a month and I’m not sure it has enough space for all the photos.

A private reddit sub is an option but I don’t know how people feel about reddit.

My grand fat cat would make me wonder where

he was at, if he just played tit-for-tat

large and black, he really did know well that

he lived with me (host) who really would care

for his health yet mistakenly would dare

to feed him foods that made him rather fat

which accompanied him as a real brat

along with his lasting, piercing green stare.

.

Present with that still-endearing glare

were the frivolous acts of my sweet cat

and he’d sometimes cause me a fierce nightmare

in my life by after having just sat

in his space, just vanish—guess who’d bear

the worry, why was he not on his mat?

We simply can’t resist…

The funny thing is that one time the vet said we could try giving catnip to the cats. I sprinkled some on a plastic sheet for them. The cats simply ignored the herb…

Some cats are immune to the effect of catnip, but others might experience the high from it but the scent isn’t enticing in the moment. My previous cat didn’t react much to the scent of it most of the time so i didn’t really bother with it.

Somebody gave me a “catnip kit” as a gift. It had catnip, silvervine, valerian, and some other herb. Our boys liked all of them, but some liked catnip better and some liked silvervine better. They had mild attraction to the valerian and whatever herb #4 was, but not the catnip frenzy.

Update: we have an appointment Friday to visit the vet. Unfortunately there aren’t many exotic vets around. The one we’re going to is an hour away in NoVa (northern Virginia), but they are also the best IMHO. The buck is slowly getting better. Eating more regular, pooping regularly, too, though still with problems. He’s also more active.

We’re avoiding treats, and giving more greens. He must feel himself Emporer of the household.

My daughter’s subscription box also came in. The Buck has a new favorite toy. Smells weird to me, but it’s bunnynip to him. :joy:
