Not necessarily; it could trigger a “start the engine, turn on the AC, and start beeping the horn and flashing the lights” mode.

I don’t think any thieves would be sticking around for that.

I mean, if we’re going to put air bags in cars, and have air bag child sensors to disable them when kids are in the car, why not have a child safety mode you can toggle on?

Anyone who locks their kid or pet in a hot car can deal with a broken window as punishment.
