As a Canadian, I … ah … what? WTF, even?
I recognize some Canadian elements and themes in here. But other parts look completely foreign.
I keep having this feeling that someone watched a lot of really old movies, too. I just can’t think why that is relevant here.
As someone who’s been to Canada I recognise all these motifs. Superheroes , strangely alluring women dressed up in superhero costumes. Yup, just as I remember it.

As someone that works in a Art Museum in Canada, I find the art work refreshing.
What part of it that is foreign to me, is that it is not the typical boring take on our landscape.
Yes, it has elements of Mark Ryden,of Camille Rose Garcia and Niagara’s work, but at least it says something different about Canada. Maybe the dude frequents Comic-Con and attends a lot of Rock-a-billy shows…maybe that is his Canada, or what he wishes it was?
I don’t know, but I am glad someone in our country is trying.
