Russia: "Molecular genetic examination" of remains prove that Yevgheny Prigozhin's definitely dead

… going through the machinery of the public process might imply that Putin was accountable to other public officials and institutions

can’t have that

He rushed back to Moscow to because the defence ministry was putting the squeeze on his operations in Africa and Syria.

According to the VChK-OGPU channel, #Prigozhin used to take several precautions when flying, including changing planes, landing in a different airport than initially announced (without notifying the authorities), or sending his two planes to two different directions However, in recent months, this changed at the request of Russian authorities.

So do they make a traitor-sized version?

The way they publicly confirmed his death reminds me of the thing Bane did in the opening scene of The Dark Knight Rises. (In this case I have no reason to doubt the guy is dead for reals, but I guess you never know.)

From the vendor’s page:

" – POLYTRON® come in various sizes for batch volumes from 50 to 10 000 liters"

They’ve also got the “MEGATRON®” line of inline dispersers; at up to 30,000 liters/hr if you’ve got a traitor problem too big for batch processing.

Here’s hoping that this decapitation causes the entire Wagner Group to fall apart and get booted from Africa.

And not be replaced by someone similar.

I’m curious as to whether more or less exactly that scenario is why continuity planning is not a focus.

Being incapable of a functional succession and reliant on specific senior management is a risk from the perspective of the organization’s survival; but being capable of a functional succession and not reliant on specific senior management is a risk from the perspective of that senior management’s survival; since it expands the field of possible attackers from those who are purely content to destroy the organization to those who want it for themselves.

I’ve seen it speculated that Prigozhin was expecting his buddy Sergei “General Armageddon” Surovikin and possibly other sympathetic generals to join him. Unfortunately for him, the FSB apparently got to Surovikin first, and instead of throwing in with the Wagner forces, he recorded what commentators described as a “hostage video”, urging Prigozhin to play nice. If it’s true that Prigozhin was counting on his support, that may be why he called off the coup attempt.

Surovikin, incidentally, was removed from his post as commander of aerospace forces on the morning of the same day that Prigozhin died, which is perhaps not a coincidence.

So are we thinking Surovikin will suffer from defenestration, or accidental ingestment of radioactive material?

There’s more choices than that. Novichok, car bomb, bust bomb and probably a few I’m forgetting.

I predict he’ll accidentally brutally cut his own head off while shaving…
