There’s also the very profitable business of publishing “alternative facts” and revisionist history. They’ve led to generations of kids who grow up to be teachers who create assignments like these ones that make the news.

Yeah, I just posted about the next stage of book bans – to ban book awards – in that thread, and the instigating school board member in a Chicago suburban district (population 3,000) admitted he’d only read one book on the short list for the Caudill award, but claimed that PragerU offerings were good enough for the students in that district.

None of which will ever be on a short list for a book award, because they’re both filled with deception and outright lies, and also poorly written.

It’s like these teachers took similar lessons made to help students empathize with oppressed peoples and switched it around and said, “What if you were the oppressors?”
