If they can build an enzyme which will destroy polystyrene I will be all over it and dissolve every bit of styrofoam that come into the house.

I used a literal CARLOAD of it (broken into manageable chunks) and polyurethane spray foam to insulate the bottom of my bathtub. OMG, it is so much more pleasant to step into a bathtub that isn’t the same temperature as the crawlspace. I used to have to shower with my toes clenched into little fists. It was free, because who else goes around on the trash day after Christmas collecting Omaha Steak coolers and discarded packaging?
