I liked what I played of DAI. Which was basically the Hinterlands. I got a bit further past that (I’ve got fond memories of both the Hinterlands and Storm Coast as locations)… but between falling into the busywork trap, and there being so many more hours of it ahead, I just gave up.
I could make the time for a 40-60 hour game… but these days I’d rather just play an hour or two of one of my favorite Half-Life levels, or something like Manifold Garden or Antichamber, or even just fool around in Skyrim or BotW. Maybe if DAI had been structured like NWN, broken up into acts and optional campaigns a new character could jump into, or an old character could replay…
Ah, who am I kidding, I’d rather (re)read a book.
