This is cool, i hope the open source platform gets some support :slight_smile: need more of these kinds of things in the world.

Wow! What an ambitious project. I wonder what the cost is? An advantage I see of this is that it could be made to use some of the many good optical quality but obsolete mount lenses.

Well, I am up to the first minute of the video and already

  • EOL parts which wildly vary price
  • SLS printed parts with custom applied decals
  • CNC machined aluminum
  • Flat cable PCB assemblies

My conservative estimate is that, at a minimum, this would cost about 1k$ if someone did a limited run, assuming most of the assembly is done in-house. 1.5k$ if assembly is externalized.
