Social networks, like economic markets are at best human-value agnostic, at worst, human-suffering dependant. They reflect and enhance activities that meet their selective pressures. Like viruses, these sytems should never be given sway over how our time, truth, resources or relationships are governed and prioritized.

Hm. I wonder why? What could all these diverse opinions have in common? Maybe that they’re stupid?

Ms. DiResta explains why I don’t see many of these types of posts. I don’t engage them. Even if I agree with them or they come from my friends I don’t make comments, or respond in any way. Just keep on scrolling.
