My first thought was whether it was by the same people who made Kedi. But apparently not.
(Kedi was not nearly as engaging as I hoped it would be from its trailer.)

No, but 100% they saw the appeal of the first and want to replicate it. Kedi made some serious money for a moderately sized doc and it reached a much wider audience than I think people appreciate.
Different strokes. Like others I know, I thought it was very engaging, including being intrigued by clever ways it was filmed. And I’m not even a cat lover.
Here’s hoping the new movie’s makers picked up on and advanced methods and ideas used in Kedi.
