@ToMajorTom: The problem is that the human brain is not wired to constantly monitor something, for hours at a time, that requires no intervention at a 99.99+ percent rate. We have learned that from some catastrophic accidents in the railroad and airline sectors. Better off with no “autopilot” at all.

When I used to commute on my Triumph, it was a real-life video game every day, with no reset button.
