It’s about damn time.
They should also investigate The Boring Company after Elon admitted it was set up to mess with lobbying/campaigns for public transit programs
Yeah the Boring Co in particular i’m curious why the government hasn’t gone after him, seems pretty cut and dry what his intention there was.
Doesn’t matter he has already raised billions for his AI deal.
I highly recommend listening to this podcast from the other day. The guy being interviewed has deep knowledge about Tesla -
Maybe state and local governments are just reluctant to admit how effortlessly Elon was able to bribe and/or con them into signing off on such transparently idiotic transit proposals.
Tesla never was a car manufacturer. It was a carbon credit trading company.
Then you’re an idiot. (But that doesn’t stop what Musk did from also being fraud.)
Musk admitted that Hyperloop was intended to undermine public support for the California high speed rail project. He could safely admit that because Hyperloop is only a concept that he published for free and he has never made any money from it. All the companies with Hyperloop in their names that have actually tried to make it work are independent and have no connection to Musk.
What does, then?
Partly out of a sense of frustration with all this stuff, I have been compiling a timeline of predictions for the arrival of fully self-driving cars. Musk features heavily, but he’s not the only one.
It’s not too dissimilar to the conversation of Fusion being 5 years away, ad nauseum
Yes, although think a more apt parallel is voice recognition, which has been in development for literally 50 years and never quite gets to the level of accuracy needed to do anything of any actual importance.
