The art world in the wake of COVID-19

Too true. Could be the beginning of another era where the propaganda artist thrives.

As somebody who paints, I just throw my hands up with the hand-wringing of the art world about the state of the modern museum, and about artistic institutions in general. For decades people have criticized the art world for being insular, nepotistic, and vulnerable to money-laundering. And it’s stayed the same.
I love modern, living painters.
I hope the end of the institutions breathes some life into their aspirations. Anyway, who else is painting while in quarantine?

I’m literally watching paint dry tonight!

Me too, I am also currently trying relief sculpture with some air-dry clay. To support life models I am also trying drawing from online sessions, not the same as a real session but adequate.

Artists, tutors and galleries might be suffering but models are really having a rough time. Many of my, now-distanced, co-drawers are doing the same.
