The best video games of this young century

Hah! Thanks. I’ll look into it. “Lazy newb” seems apt.

When those went on closeout at Toys-R-Us years ago, I picked up three sets of bongos, each including the game, for something like $5 apiece. I think I still have them in a cabinet in the basement.

And I can second that Yoku is a lot of fun.

I keep looking at Snake Pass, but haven’t bitten yet.

Multiple bongo’s are a lot of fun for the music game, for only a few sessions.

I really enjoyed the game, it’s a very simple concept, but it’s so much fun when you get good at the snake movements. But no matter how good you are, the game stays challenging. This is actually a really good introduction to the game:

I can’t believe [insert game here] isn’t on the list!

Good to see half life 2 high up there though, that was something of a game changer.

I go through phases of loving and loathing that but I can definitely say I’ve had my money’s worth out of it and at least the stuff you pay for in game is only cosmetic. Not that I’ve spent a penny more than what I paid for the game.

I think Yoku is a bit more – I don’t know of a better word – aimed than DK Jungle Beat
Snake Pass is certainly a very nice game as well!

Yeah it was really good. Only problem is they gave away the whole mystery in the end.
