Aside from all the usual(and correct) observations about how this is a pathological way of running a healthcare system; it seems remarkable how bad the system is when judged by the standards of normal businesses in terms of things like price availability, billing accuracy, and so on.
I can’t think of any other industry(especially one that is consumer facing, rather than involving agreements between two sides that both have actual lawyers) where you get anything like it.
