I do not know if he is a “good example”, but Bill Clinton was often referred to as a “neoliberal”. In Europe the examples were Tony Blair in the UK, and Gerhard Schröder in Germany. A neoliberal was a member of a traditionally liberal party like Labour or the SPD who was a little too chummy with big business executives. They still call Schröder “Genosse der Bosse” (Comrade of the bosses).
The “neoliberal” is not as well defined as the “neoconservative” clique, which mostly defined itself via foreign policy and is mostly limited to former students of Leo Strauss.
I recommend reading the Wikipedia articles as a starting point to understanding both terms. Not as entertaining as TVTropes, I know, but what the heck.
