Start at 1min 30 secs in. Everything before that is irrelevant fluff.
I’ve been called a “monster”, but I think they were exaggerating a bit.
My 12 yr old boy and I have been watching Monstrum nearly since it hit the scene. (I think he probably has a little crush on Dr Z!!) Then Monstrum morphed(?) into Storied, but Monstrum remained somehow, and now we have otherwords, a series on words?!? How can this continue to get even better?!? I tell my kids that a really great way to learn about something is to ask how it got its name, look at the word itself. This is so exciting!
Oh, PBS, words cannot describe what good work you do! You are a gold standard of production and content quality, in my book. I really, really appreciate PBS.
Gareth, “word etymologies” is redundant, Gareth
He heard his name the first time.
Disagree! They cut it into mons and stere for mind the omen, but don’t follow the second half. Like there’s a too early for compound words? ‘Mind the stares’? Maybe early demonstrators were horrible…let’s try the Procrustes Brand Bed, folks! We give everybody fits!
