It’s very simple: the USPS used to be better than they are now.
Which stopped in 1950, so the only people in the U.S. who can remember this would be the relatively few still-living members of the ‘Greatest Generation’. No Boomer would have been old enough.
Okay…but regarding this thread topic
I have them pick things up at my building and buy stamps online.
That’s because the GOP has been trying to dismantle the thing!
No argument there!
So the solution is not to dismantle it and hand it over to the objectively worse private sector… it’s to fix it!
And honestly, it STILL works better than the privately alternatives.
That still sounds better than Wells Fargo to me.
You don’t really think that every branch of government has equal access to surveillance technology, do you? This just sounds like the “They can put a man on the moon, but they can’t…” jokes of the past.
Look, the quality of the USPS has gotten worse, but that is a function of the resources that they have been given to work with. You are aware of how the Republicans sabotaged the Post Office by requiring it to fund its pensions for the next 75 years, right? Maybe do something about that and the Post Office will get better.
So did the milkman deliver milk twice a day. Go complain about the milkman.
Naah, that would mean doubling their workload for the same pay, and I don’t think they deserve to be milked.
