I am reminded of the animated episode of The Tick where The Tick and his sidekick Arthur went to a superhero night club but it was for superheroes only so Arthur had to hang out with the other sidekicks in a dingy place next door. Poor sidekicks, they rarely get the respect they deserve.

Is 82 pages really a novel these days?
It sounds like this story is plucked right from the Venture Bros. There are a lot of down-and-out henchmen in that show.
