I use similar cheapo scanners to make the equivalent of contact sheets from my negatives and slides.
That’s good enough to put the pictures in a slide show or a digital frame or even make small prints for a scrapbook - and to decide which of the negatives/slides you’ll want to have scanned in high quality on professional equipment.
I miss Eastman Kodak. I hope Kodak Alaris owned by UK based Kodak Pension Plan comes out with equally good products. What’s left of Eastman Kodak in the US is focusing on COVID-19 pharmaceuticals.
