Boing Boing store is basically hospice for failed products and services.
Years ago I paid extra for a “lifetime” online backup subscription touted by Boing Boing. What I didn’t realize was “lifetime” meant the company’s, not mine. That company imploded and disintegrated not long after. I ordered something else from the Boing Boing store and it sucked, too. I would never trust anything there.
Now when I see items on the Boing Boing Store, I know they’re failed products and/or services stopping off for a little undertaker makeup on their way to their graves.
But this is actually useful: it’s nice little clearinghouse of failed stuff, like a carnival freak show.
