Having been private equitied, I don’t find this amusing. I can attest that It is incredibly accurate.
Using a private equity loan to buy 51% control, then transferring the loan debt to the company sounds like a fraudulent swindle of the 49% stockholders.
I mean, Musk and Frenemies bought out all the Twitter stockholders, so they can do what they want, but otherwise it sounds like a loophole that shouldn’t be legal.
