It’s pretty obvious (given the tropical shirts that Trader Joe’s staff wear (or used to, I haven’t seen it much lately) that their name and theming is based on once-famous Tiki-bar chain Trader Vic’s, so it is a bit rich to see them complain about someone ripping off them.

Having an interest in exotica music ages ago, this is all I could ever think of when I heard the supermarket chain existed.
I’ve only been to the London one which I see was closed recently. Their locations are nearly all middle east now!
