My first thought on seeing this headling was, Oh, NO!!! Fortunately, I quickly realized it wasn’t about the guitarist.
No, I remember Dana Carvey’s take of John McLaughlin–which was a fantastic parody. I just love the Sinatra meta skit and applaud the writer(s) for fusing the arrogance of Sinatra with the boorish behavior of JM.
That whole era of SNL was simply top-notch…
