I get that holiday sales are an American tradition, but this particular ad copy seems a bit more tone deaf than most, acting like Stack Social is somehow doing Memorial Day a favor and “honoring” dead vets with steep discounts on web training.
Dunno if it’s just me, though. 
Perhaps we shouldn’t have “holidays” dedicated to ritualized sadness in the first place
or in any case we could retire this one, after 150 years
It’s inevitable that people are going to “celebrate” it, given it’s held on a three-day weekend every year
