There were some in the woods I did a bit of maple sugaring in as a kid. They hopped along the top of the snow. Walking around in the snow, my footprints were deep as the mines of Moria to them. Coming back the next day, my footsteps were black with all the snow fleas that fell in and hadn’t managed to jump out.

When you’re that size and jump that far, impressing the female would have the unfortunate side effect of causing you to leave her zip code.
