Um, Douglas Hofstadter and Scott Kim were doing this forty years ago. Probably longer. Hofstadter had his students making ambigrams thirty years ago. Nothing new here.
All true, but it’s neat that these are making the rounds.
Think of it as a way to stimulate new interest, even if it isn’t a novel subject.
A buddy of mine from grad school has dedicated a good chunk of his career to these, he published his own book on the subject a few years ago. (It’s listed as “frequently bought together” with the Langdon book.)
