Starship Troopers, on the other hand, is an ingenious dystopian novel that can only have been written by a left-wing antimilitarist. A friend of mine actually had to be told that Heinlein was being serious, like Orwell was when he wrote 1984, which is still one of the most influential works on how to organize society.
