Actually, the probability is zero as long as there exists at least one person on earth who has no eyes and so never blinks.
Let’s say a group of scientists wanted to test a theory about everyone blinking together.
They publicize it, pick a date in the future like August 12th and ask everyone around the world to blink at the same time.
I figure 10 seconds after the first discussion of the experiment Marge and the maga wackadoodles start warning everyone to keep their eyes closed the entire day so the democrats can’t hypnotized them to all vote for Biden.
No wait, that’s what they want, they want everyone to close their eyes so they can change everyone’s gender.
So keep your eyes open but don’t blink because getting you to blink is the first step in controlling you.
Oh, and masks don’t work and the election was stolen.
Or something like that.
A new horror movie franchise from A24, “Blunk” will feature the summoning of the Eyeldrich monster, that can only be held in check by sacrificing our hero, Visine.
Forget your no eyes person. As long as at least one person is sleeping, which is always going to be true, the probability of everyone blinking is zero.
Blink and you’ll miss the blink and you’ll miss the blink and you’ll miss the…
Sleep.
okay, but what if there was also a really loud noise…
Yeah I think we can assume that like a third or a fourth of humanity is asleep at any given time. The likelihood of everyone blinking at the same moment is still minuscule even after this of course.
You could certainly have “everyone who was awake blinked at the same time and that let the Eldritch Menace in” as a story’s hook but it doesn’t sound as good as “everyone blinked at the same time”.
