What is the greatest moment in geek history?

Whenever time seems to be going too fast, I like to remember that the guy who invented the World Wide Web isn’t even retired yet.

A possibly apocryphal story from local Faculty of Math and Physics.
The dean was complaining to the physicists:
“You, and your expensive instruments! Look at the mathematicians here, all they need is a pencil, paper, and a waste paper basket. Or the philosophers over there, all they need is a pencil and paper.”

Han Solo shooting Steve Jobs in the back of the head? I completely agree.

But no, the greatest moment hasn’t happened yet. That’ll be when Community finally gets its movie at the end of season 6.

If I could stretch out a moment into a matter of decades, I’d say it started with Revenge of the Nerds and finishes at some point in the future when geeks are thoroughly recognised as being higher on the evolutionary ladder than jocks.

Based on the # of TARDIS dresses at PAX, I’d say we’re drawing close to that singularity.
