Nope, sadly even that would not stop treasure hunters. Read ‘Quest for the Golden Hare’ by Bamber Gascoigne which details the search for Kit William’s buried treasure. Long after the treasure had been found and the winners congratulated on TV, treasure hunters continued to send Kit Willams solutions to “the real treasure hunt beyond the red herring shown on TV to discourage the less persistent”.
