Also, looking at the few cases of women serial killers in Britain (because I know the country) they mostly killed members of their own family and household, or were nurses who killed children. There are a couple who were accomplices to male serial killers and one who is a misandrist who was caught quickly (in the time period since she killed there have been several misogynistic male serial killers).
There is probably a study into power dynamics and serial killing out there, but I am not strong enough to read it right now.
