Seconded. I read that yesterday and have to agree. It also points to different protocols being bolted together without integration testing, as a factor.

I don’t like being That Guy who posts comments to point out typos… but the man’s name is Carl Malamud, not “Mamamud”.

Mama Mud would be a decent blues band name, though.

I have no idea what a significant portion of this headline actually means. Which might be part of the problem, when it comes to illicit compromising of technological security (which, I gather, is the issue at hand). When we end users have no idea what the hell is going on, that might contribute to the problem.

(Before I get accused of Being Disappointed in Boing Boing, though, I thought that Cory did a great job of filling me in with the article itself)
