man, thats ugly, like a simulated cheapo-ad for some tourist-traps in paris. who greenlit this?

The script for the short wasn’t created using AI, apparently, but instead was written by TCL’s Chief Content Officer and Chief Creative Officer.

oh, okay…

Jesus Christ why would they include so many shots with closeups of fucked-up hands? Did they think we wouldn’t believe it was really AI-generated otherwise?

What I don’t get is supposedly they had real animators work on this too. Why wouldn’t you have them fix all the weird issues? They’re either really cheap or trying to tank this, possibly both depending on who made what decision.

One of the things with AI video is that it isn’t built using rigged models you can easily manipulate like traditional CGI, just like AI art doesn’t have preliminary sketches to go back to. There aren’t really the kind of “source files” a real human artist would be able to go back to if they want to make a fix.

At this point the best option for the majority of the people posting on the micro-blogging site former known as “Twitter” to “sound smart” is to SHUT UP.
And Grok won’t change that.

Because it’s beyond the intellectual capacity of premium users to cut and paste from another AI service.

Or that it finally dawns on us that AI technology is an environmental disaster in the making; the planet cannot be paved with datacentres.

I love BLAME!.

I kinda think that’s what Nick Land wants… Planet paved with datacentres.

Or something like this:

As events progress in Accelerando, the planets of the Solar System are dismantled over time to form a Matrioshka brain, a vast solar-powered computational device inhabited by minds inconceivably more advanced and complex than naturally evolved intelligences such as human beings.
