Cyriak. The only person who I can admire for their sheer creativity and yet seriously worry about.
(Dammit, missed the obvious retort:)
What, you don’t like sync-dancing spidercows?
ETA: Whoops, forgot to say it
I may have once, but I have absolutely no recollection of that at all.
PS: All kidding aside, I think Cyriak has an innate understanding that the scariest monsters are distortions/hybridizations of real creatures and people. (Something in our psyche, perhaps some connection to evolution?) The Alien movie creature is nowhere near as disturbing as his Baa sheep.
Hey! Where’s your “you monster”!
See? See what Cyriak has done to me?! He made me forget to add…
… you monster.
Continuing the discussion from Chatty Chatty Chat Chat:
Trying to keep threads on-topic?
Cyriak is that much of a monster.
I believe the following should provide me an endless ‘supply’ of “you monsters”.
you monster ^ you monster
Until you cause a kernel panic as the OS runs out of resources
Tech has finally caught up to his art.
they are monsters
It would be interesting to hear Cyriak’s own view on that. If nothing else, latest tech may have been making it easier for him to deliver his ‘vision’, but if his chief goal has been to (pardon me) mindfuck his audience, then I could make a case for the limitations of earlier tech (in terms of his animations’ appearance and ‘mechanics’) actually benefiting him by adding to their disturbing look.
Think “The Residents” (1970s group). Technology has clearly scrubbed their work clean of their earlier, intentionally bizarre edge. Much better (or should I say effective) in the 70s than now.
You’re not much for playing by the rules, you monster.
Monsters do not have rules… so I hear.
Still… you monster.
That tore it!
I’m outta here!
I called out a co-employee for misbehavior, fired her, and she made up shit to destroy my career.
I just spent half an hour watching cyriak videos. Thanks.
I just feared for your sanity.
