The Back To The Future theme is one of my favorite pieces of film music, and indeed, the entire score is fabulous and is certainly one of the film’s key structural pieces. It does so much to establish the setting and to set the mood, and it’s so darn memorable and eminently singable or hummable.
I don’t hesitate to compare it to certain of Mozart’s operatic pieces, the ones we all still know by ear today, even if we don’t know them by name.
