DARPA's Memex for searching the deep Web

You do know that this story is exactly a year old, don’t you?

Wow! You live in the future?

The DARPA announcement is from 2015; the SciAm article that I quoted and is linked first is new.

The DARPA announcement is from 2014:

February 09, 2014

New program seeks user-defined, domain-specific search of public information, and plans to use its groundbreaking research to fight human trafficking

The Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for Memex is available at http://go.usa.gov/BBc5. To familiarize potential participants with the technical objectives of Memex, DARPA has scheduled a Proposers' Day on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, in Arlington, Va. For details, visit http://www.sa-meetings.com/memex. Registration closes on February 13, 2014, at 5 p.m. ET. There will be no on-site registration. For more information, please email memex@darpa.mil.

It hasn’t occurred to the researchers that some things are kept in the dark for good reasons? There are things man was not meant to know.

Yes, typo in my reply to you. DARPA announcement is indeed from 2014, but the SciAm article I quote and link to first is from yesterday.
