The Hunter was the inspiration for the Mel Gibson movie Payback (except that “Parker” is changed to “Porter”), and also I’m told a '60s movie called Point Blank. There’s a significant number of other Parker novels.
As big of a Cooke fan as I am, I’m having second thoughts about getting this, as I tend to prefer the more minimalist approach that he uses in the graphic novel adaptations.
Oh, who am I kidding.
