my cousin, who studied illuminated manuscripts, says that her theory is that a time-traveling star wars fan from the future spent some time as a monk in the 14th century, and put it in there just to yank our chain. works for me.

500-600 yrs seems like a long time ago… did they do any analysis to see if the manuscript actually originated far far away?
