Well this gif is handy today…
Man, they’re going to be short of pads for all those rich folks to crash.
What they need is a private jet pooling app.
Come on Uber - there’s money to be made.
That predates Uber:
I’d add that many personal jets are also either part of a coop for charters too. Probably not the case for most of these 1500 or so going to Davos…these are most likely squarely owned outright by the individual.
Also…Davos needs more Davos…
Right? Amazingly handy, that.
Also… so many of them in one place, so much gross excess on display. It feels like a waste of a good opportunity for… something. Some kind of sudden wealth redistribution? It’s on the tip of my tongue. Ah well. There’s always next year.
To their family trust funds? Not going to get redistributed far, I fear.
I wonder where they fly in/out of? I’ve pulled up the delightful FlightRadar24 and it looks like the best route to Davos is to fly into St. Moritz and then, I dunno, helicopter the last 20km?

And car or train for the staff

How much would 1500 sidewinder missiles cost?
Asking for a friend.
If your friend has that kind of money, they’re likely attending the conference already.
And with a little luck and a few Stingers in the right hands, only 1450 will be leaving.
I thought Davos needed more Davros.
From a global perspective, I am truly a fortunate person. I have had good education, have never experienced war, real discrimination or existential economic threats. Yet seeing the elite attend the Davos summit, knowing how they have rigged the whole world to make themselves even more unimaginably rich and everyone else miserable, I get intense feelings of hatred and violent thoughts against them. I can only imagine the rage that must be boiling in millions upon millions of people in the world far worse off than me. Does anyone really wonder why rampant populism is the central theme of world politics these days, why organisations like the IS come into existence?
