Not to be pedantic but… I’m going to be pedantic.
Born in Catalonia and raised in Barcelona is like saying ‘born in Florida and raised in Miami’.
And the dictator Franco was not Italian by any means. He was pure-bred Spanish scum as ruthless as they come.
I do know this particular song: my parents had a cassette tape of the brothers they would play all day. In fact, I knew this song before I ever came into contact with Bowie’s masterpiece.
