Yeah, that’s clearly the case with a few of these, but with others, clearly not. I’m particularly amazed by the brass balls of the manufacturers who came up with the special “larger” variants of products that are in bigger boxes but contain less.

Many years ago, orange juice was still sold in 64 oz cartons. Now, every carton is 59 oz. (1.75 liters)

I once bought a wok without a lid. It was short sighted of me.

It is surprisingly difficult to find lids sold separately.
