You’ve never been to an Oakland A’s game, even before it was legal.

It’s legal in New York for adults 21 and older to possess up to three ounces of cannabis and up to 24 grams of concentrated cannabis for personal use, and they may smoke or vape cannabis wherever smoking tobacco is allowed.

I wish Illinois was this permissive, you’re technically not even supposed to smoke on your front porch here. At least it’s legal, but there’s still improvement to be made.

A big part of this was clearly defining what was permissible so BIPOC users couldn’t be unfairly and arbitrarily targeted. The law also states that the smell of weed is not grounds for reasonable suspicion to search, either an individual person or their property (home, car, etc).

They’ve fucked just about everything else up rolling the law out, but they really did a good job ensuring that it can’t be weaponized against vulnerable populations. Of course, NYC smelled like weed well before legalization.

They could call the NYC Park Police / Enforcement Personnel as it is illegal to smoke in a park in NYC of which should apply to Flushing Meadows. Or just shoo the smokers to further away from the stadium.

Monetize the pot smokers by selling munchies at exorbitant prices by the gate. Use the profits to install fans to blow the pot smoke onto other New Yorkers who didn’t pay for fans. 'Merica.
