Any relation to Bob, I wonder?
But what a wonderful thing, regardless!
Had one of these when i was a mere tad (about 12,000 years ago):
even way back then i wondered (among my little lights, relays, and buzzers) if an electromagnet could be placed under one of the rubber trampolines to allow for a continuous cycle… “But you’d have to switch off the magnet the split second the ball bearing had maximally deformed the membrane!” said a wise old neighbor guy. …and that’s where my notion died. Glad to see someone (albeit following many years of more advanced sensors) got 'er done.
In this house, we obey the laws of thermodynamics!
Love the Technology Connections bits. I appreciate the camaraderie that seems to exist among the tech explainer youtubers.
The fake bloopers and thanks to Alex was icing on the cake.
That is very nice. Satisfying.
I appreciate the engineering… but that’s not even vaguely convincing. Ball drops from a height and gets launched in an arc that takes it noticeably higher.
